U.S. funds on a U.S. bank. New York residents please add appropriate
sales tax or forward a tax id number. Libraries and Institutions can
be billed. Trade allowance. Postage for Domestic orders is $10.00 for
the first book and $6.00 for each additional volume (due to the
weight of each volume). Books are normally shipped Media Mail. For
international orders, postage is calculated individually. All books
may be returned in original condition for any reason within two weeks

the Special Christmas Issue 1903. Color illustration by R.S.S. Baden-
Powell entitled: A fine Horseman and a Good Shot: a Sergeant of the
South African Constabulary. Articles, photographs, and drawings of
ships and fleets including the American Squadron at Kiel, at
Portsmouth, French Cruiser Guichen off Dover, largest warship in the
world (the King Edward VII), Battle of the Azores, America Cup, and
many others. And of course hundreds of other articles, drawings, and
photographs of the International Motor-car Race for the
Gordon-Bennett Cup, the Pope's illness and death (Pope Leo XIII) and

engravings. Folio (16 x 11.5 inches). Three quarter cloth over
marbled boards, morocco label (hardback). First edition. The full
half year plus the Special Midsummer Issue. The big story during this
time period was the sinking of the Titanic on 14 April 1912. Four
issues (April 20-May 11, 1912: #s 2212-2215) and two special
supplements focus on the sinking, rescue, homecoming, and causes
with 11 full page and 3 double page drawings of the disaster and
associated articles, plus many more pages of photographs, drawings,
and text. In addition there is more than the usual focus on nautical
issues especially after the sinking. Hinges starting else a very good
copy, spine a bit discolored, label chipped, edges worn, but
otherwise quite solid, remnants of pocket on pastedown, shadow on
free endpaper, endpapers creased, occasional tears and chips to the
