4. JACKSON, Shirley. THE LOTTERY OR, THE ADVENTURES OF JAMES HARRIS.
New York: Farrar, Straus & Company 1949. First Edition. Jackson's
second and best known book and first collection of short fiction
containing the much anthologized title story. After "The Lottery" was
first published in THE NEW YORKER magazine, the publication was
flooded with letters asking for directions to the annual event. Light
soiling to covers and foxing to pastedowns. A few pages with minor
stains in margins. Please note that dustwrappers from early printings
will NOT fit on this book. Very Good, lacking the dustwrapper.
                                                                $100.00

5. [KEROUAC, Jack] HUSS, R. G. (ed.). FOCUS ON THE HORROR FILM.
Englewood Cliffs, NJ: PH (1972). First Edition. Photos. Contains the
first book appearance of a 3-page piece on Nosferatu by Kerouac as
well as work by Bradbury & others. NF/VG+ $75.00

6. KING, Stephen. CUJO. New York: Viking (1981). First Edition. Who
let the dogs out? As with many of King's books, made into a movie,
though this one perhaps less memorable than others. Fine in Fine
dustwrapper. Unread. $150.00

7. KING, Stephen. FIRESTARTER. New York: Viking (1980). First
Edition. Not your usual story of guys chasing a hot chick. Fine in
Fine dustwrapper. Brilliant and Unread. $150.00

8. KING, Stephen. PET SEMATARY. Garden City: Doubleday 1983. First
Edition. Pictorial wraps. Stated Uncorrected Galley Proof, apparently
the second of two states, this with 413 pages. Laid in are the
publisher's form letter as well as a response card. Touch of wear,
still Fine. Unread. $250.00

9. KING, Stephen. THE DARK TOWER II: THE DRAWING OF THE THREE. (W.
Kingston, RI): Donald Grant (1987). First Edition. Illustrated with
color plates by Phil Hale. Only (for King) 30,000 copies printed.
Fine in Fine dustwrapper. Unread. $125.00

10. KING, Stephen. THE PLANT. PART III. Bangor, ME: Philtrum Press
1985. First Edition. A set of loose galley sheets (7-1/2" x 25") of
the third part of King's novel-in-progress published privately in an
edition of only 200 copies as a Christmas greeting and not offered
for public sale. This is the only set of galleys for this book we
have seen, and it contains numerous corrections by King himself,
sometimes signed, including at the head of the title: "Copy-edit
complete./Steve King." Above that is a typed note about the text
signed by Michael [Alpert], who was involved with the printing of the
book. It appears that King's comments are photocopied from an
original. We have priced this as a scarce issue of the book
photocopied from the copy King corrected and not as the original copy
that King corrected. If we are wrong, someone will be very happy. And
if we are not wrong, we can still comfortably assume that even
advanced King collectors do not have this. Very Good with some
expected wear. $2500.00
