the printer’s initials at the bottom. Large woodcut device of Valvassori on the 
verso of the final leaf. A very nice copy in early calf, rebacked. Gilt spine

A scarce early edition of Bembo’s (1470-1547) popular amorous poetry. The 
final 10 leaves, the “Stanze di M. P. Bembo,” with its own section title. Adams
