Ptacek, [1912]. 8 pp. Illus. with 6 b/w photos. Folio. Six loose red 
leaves with mounted photographs  laid into a folded, printed sheet 
within a tan printed portfolio. 

Jaroslav Vrchlicky (1853-1912) was one of  Czechoslovakia greatest 
lyric poets, though his output also included plays, essays, epic 
poetry, and a significant amount  of translations from numerous 
languages, introducing some of the world's greatest literature 
-including Dante, Goethe,  Shelley, Baudelaire, Poe, and Whitman- to 
Czech readers. This memorial portfolio Includes six mounted 
photographs  including two late portraits, the funeral procession, 
the memorial, plus a short printed eulogy. Scarce. None shown in 
OCLC or major European Libraries including that of the Czech

American Express, Mastercard, and Visa. Foreign orders should be in 
U.S. funds on a U.S. bank. New York residents please add appropriate 
sales tax or forward a tax id number. Libraries and Institutions can 
be billed. Trade allowance. Postage for Domestic orders is $4.00 for 
the first book and $1.50 for each additional volume. Books are 
normally shipped Media Mail. For international orders, postage is 
calculated individually. All books may be returned in original 
condition for any reason within two weeks with prior notification.
