automobile journey through the Balkans and Europe prior to World War II. He
visits "Jugoslavia" (Serbia, Croatia, and Montenegro), Albania, Turkey
(Istanbul), Romania, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia as well as Greece, Italy,
Austria, Germany and France. Sports metaphors and references abound,
including McGeehan's famous description of boxing as "the manly art of
modified murder" (in a chapter on French boxing matches).     $75.00
