1940. Quarto (7-3/8" x 10-3/4") bound in deerskin leather-backed 
pictorial boards. Copy #834 of 1500 designed by Will Ransom. 
Introduction by Harry Hansen. Illustrated with drawings including a 
large foldout color plate by noted American artist John Steuart Curry 
and SIGNED by the artist on the colophon page. Includes the publisher's 
"Note on the binding of this book." An unusual binding, rarely seen on a 
book and usually used to make gloves, the deerskin is very susceptible 
to wear and scratching. Monthly Letter laid in. There is very little 
wear to this copy, just a couple of light scratches, and the spine is, 
as often the case, sunned though the gilt lettering is still clear. Very
