First edition. Folio. (10),77,(1)pp. of letterpress text plus 40 copper engraved plates with engraved descriptions. Finely bound in full straight grained red morocco, gilt; gilt spine, circa 1825. Rebacked at an early date with the spine laid down. A bookseller's notes states "bound by Charles Lewis." With 2 engraved bookplates of the Earls of Derby (The Knowsley Library) with a few contemporary ink notes on the front endpaper, and a few notes on the bottom of a few plates.
