The Leadenhall Press / Scribner & Welford, 1886/7. First Edition. pp: vi,
366, (8) publisher's ads; 37 hand-colored plates. This book reproduces the
January to December, 1807 issues of the original magazine with the same
name. Bound in half-suede and boards with embroidered cover and spine
labels, and a cloth bookmark with the title of this book embroidered on it,
as issued. A gilt crown is stamped at the foot of the cover. The binding is
a little soiled and rubbed from handling. The text and hand-colored plates
are clean, except for a chip from the fore-edge of the first plate (no
image loss). 9" x 6" Good . Leather and boards.
Three editions of this title were issued: Special large-paper copies; Crown
quarto copies; and Demy octavo copies of which this is one.   $100.00
