Torquato Tasso; Charles-François Lebrun, trans.: Jerusalem Delivree. Poeme du Tasse, traduit par Lebrun. Paris: chez Bossange, Masson & Besson, l'An II, Ere Republicaine [i.e. 1794]. First edition thus. Two volumes, 8vo (21 cm), bound in crimson straight-grained morocco decorated in gilt, all page edges gilt. With two engraved title-pages, two frontispieces, and twenty engraved plates (complete).

In addition to the 20 plates after Gravelot called for, a complete suite of the 20 plates after Lebarbier from the 1803 edition have been loosely laid in at the appropriate places in the text. Bindings with some light rubbing, wear to the edges, sunning to the spines, dimple to front cover of one volume; both front inner hinges cracked, vol. II with the title-page and subsequent two leaves detached; two text leaves in vol. I also detached; occasional very light toning to the leaves, a few  scattered small spots, otherwise clean and sound.
