Richard J. Lane [ed.]: Fifty Etchings of Objects of Art in the South Kensington Museum, Done by the Students of the Etching Class in Training as Art Teachers. London: Published by the Arundel Society for Promoting the Knowledge of Art, 1867. First edition. Tall folio (44.5 cm) in original gilt-decorated cloth, morocco spine. With 50 etched plates in black&white and sepia.
Cancelled ink stamp of the National Art Library (Victoria & Albert Museum) on the title-page, small, discreet stamps on the versos of the plates; front paste-down with the circulation slip of the Science & Art Department, South Kensington; no other library marks. Binding with some bumping to the edges, two corners exposed, wear with slight loss to the spine ends, occasional modest toning and light spots to the margins of the plates, else quite clean. A handsome collection of handsomely-printed etchings.
