Three volumes, 8vo (19 cm) 1834, in early/period half navy calf and marbled boards. Bound without the half-title pages and errata. Wolff 940; Sadleir 414. First edition of the author's best known novel, the source for a small host of filmed versions, beginning as early as 1900. Bindings with rubbing and edge-wear, spine of vol. II chipped with loss; contents with very occasional small spots and stains, but generally quite clean and sound, firmly bound.
